The Huckebein rises from it’s grave to be reborn as one of the most bad ass, all-round units in the game, the EX Exbein.
After being critically damaged by the Galilnagant, the unit miraculously repairs itself mid-flight with “the Mk-X’s parts” as stated by Ryoto. The unit pretty much packs all the fancy systems that every Huckebein ever had – a Tesla Drive, the MkII’s Gravicon system, a T-LINK system, the Black Hole engine, a Tromium drive, and enough funnels sticking out of it to put any Gundam SEED unit to shame. Defensively, the unit can also perform ‘after-image’, and also has a TK Field, should it ever get hit.
The EX Exbein also a massive arsenal of weapons that are balanced between ammo and energy based, making it one of the b. When paired with another unit with a powerful ammo based ALL attack, you can place it at the frontline and destroy Twinned grunts with ease.
Given all the drama and controversies surrounding the Hucke line in the last few years, I think that the events in OGs2 might really represent a sort-of final “sending off” for the Huckebein – we’ve seen the destruction and rebirth of this unit in a single game into what seems like it’s final evolution and into a new design.
This unit is outright broken. I already feel like cheating when I used Ashe but XXbein hell that thing is destructive. Having a 100%/0% Rating without Upgrades against bosses without casting spirits somtimes is really a killer.
